No API yet. Here’s why.
LADLE is a chat product with a meal donation attached. An API changes the math, the support model, and the value we add over calling Anthropic directly. When it makes sense, we’ll ship one. Today it doesn’t.
The meal math breaks.
Consumer subscriptions have a clean per-user monthly commitment: $20 in, $8 to WFP. API usage is variable — a small integration or a heavy pipeline can bill from $5/mo to $50,000/mo. Turning that into a predictable meal donation requires per-request accounting we haven't built.
The support model is different.
API customers need SLA, uptime guarantees, and per-endpoint debugging. That's a full support function, not the two of us answering emails.
Anthropic already has an API.
If you're building an integration, you're better served calling Anthropic's Claude API directly. It's the same model without our packaging. We don't want to charge you a mark-up for LADLE-branded API access that doesn't add value.
