Where the money will land.
We haven’t named a hunger-relief charity yet. This page explains how we’re choosing one, how the money will flow once a partner is signed, and how you’ll be able to verify every transfer.
Scale, per-meal transparency, receipts.
We’re scoring a shortlist of global hunger-relief organizations against six published criteria. We’re not naming the shortlist while conversations are open — naming organizations we haven’t signed with would be a trust signal we haven’t earned. The four that matter most:
Your $8 to a meal, tracked end-to-end.
- 01
Stripe processes your subscription
Charge clears on your billing date.
- 02
We split the ledger
$8 (or $40 / $80 for higher tiers) is earmarked in a separate meal-committed ledger.
- 03
End-of-month fund report
We sum the meal-committed ledger across every active subscription and publish the balance on the 1st.
- 04
Threshold clears, partner signs
Once the fund reaches $50k/year, we sign a formal corporate partnership with the charity we select.
- 05
Aggregate transfer, reference returned
One monthly donation via the partner's corporate channel. The reference number publishes to /impact the same day.
- 06
The partner spends the money
Meals delivered through the partner's operational network. Verification path published with the announcement.
Today: the fund report. After signing: the partner’s own confirmation.
Today, every monthly entry on /impact carries a LADLE fund-report reference. You can reconcile the math yourself: active subscriptions × $8 should match the month’s earmark within refund and mid-cycle variance.
Once a partner is signed, every entry also carries the partner’s reference number, and the partner’s donor-support contact publishes here alongside the announcement. You email them the reference; they confirm the amount, meal count, and date. No LADLE authorization needed. If a verification ever comes back mismatched, tell us — we fix it with a correction note on the ledger.
No photos of beneficiaries. Deliberate.
You won’t find photographs of people receiving food anywhere on LADLE’s site. Aid imagery in donor marketing has an extensive ethical literature — beneficiary dignity, consent, the “poverty porn” critique. We’re an AI assistant company, not an aid organization, and we’re the wrong voice for that content. Once a partner is signed, we’ll link to their own reporting rather than reproduce it.
One partner. One receipt. Every month.
Announced when it's real. Until then, the fund report is the receipt.
