The Android build is real and working, but the private-beta scope is deliberately small so we can catch device-fragmentation issues before public release. If you want in, email us with your device model and Android version — we'll add you to the beta track within one business day.
Beta access
Email hello@ladle.chat from the address associated with your LADLE account. Include your device model (Pixel 8, Samsung S24, etc.) and Android version. We’ll add you to the Play Store beta track and email a signed opt-in link. Betas are updated weekly during private beta.
PWA fallback (works today)
- Open ladle.chat in Chrome on your Android device.
- Menu (three dots) → Install app, or the Add to Home screen prompt.
- The PWA behaves like the web app: full chat, projects, files. Slightly rougher keyboard handling; no offline read-only history.
What's different from iOS
Feature-set-wise, nothing intentional. Both native apps target the same feature parity with web. Android device fragmentation (screen sizes, keyboard behaviors, background restrictions per manufacturer) means the private-beta timeline is longer than iOS.

How this timeline is honest
Q4 2026 is a target, not a commitment. If we hit blockers in device-specific testing that push the date, we'll update this page and the roadmap accordingly. Betas are usable today. Public release is a shipping-quality gate, not a marketing gate.
