Verify a receipt yourself.

Every donation entry on the Impact page and every Impact Report has a reference number in the form of something like "4471-A". That reference is issued by ShareTheMeal at the time the transfer clears.

To verify a specific reference independently: email ShareTheMeal's donor support at donations@sharethemeal.org. Include the reference number and ask them to confirm the amount, meal count, and date associated with it. They will respond directly. No LADLE account or authorization needed on your end.

You don't need to include our name, though you can if it helps them file the request. The reference number is the unique identifier they use for their own bookkeeping; it's globally unique across their donor base.

If a verification comes back mismatched — the amount, meal count, or date they confirm differs from what appears on our ledger — please tell us immediately. That would be either a data-entry error on our side (which we'd fix and re-publish with a correction note) or an issue at ShareTheMeal's side (which we'd resolve with them). Neither has happened; the whole system is designed to make it obvious if it did.

We do not publish the names of any specific subscribers on the public ledger — donations are aggregated per month. If you want to verify that your specific subscription contributed to a specific reference, that's what your personal My Table ledger inside the product shows, tied to the same reference numbers.
