Annual vs monthly billing.

Both options are available on all plans (Base, Max 5x, Max 20x, and Team). Annual gets you ~17% off — the equivalent of 2 months free. Pricing:

- Base: $20/mo, or $200/yr (save $40). - Max 5x: $100/mo, or $1,000/yr (save $200). - Max 20x: $200/mo, or $2,000/yr (save $400).

**Meal donations on annual:** same amount per month as monthly billing, still flowing to WFP monthly. If you pay $200/yr on Base, that's $8/mo going to WFP × 12 = $96/yr in donations, forwarded in monthly batches on the same schedule as monthly-billed subscriptions. You don't wait until year-end to see the meals fund — they fund monthly regardless of your billing cadence.

**Refund policy on annual:** we refund unused months at any time. If you cancel 4 months into a $200 annual, you get $200 × (8/12) = $133.33 refunded to your card within 5 business days. This isn't the AI-industry norm ("annual is non-refundable, sorry"); it's ours because charging you for months you don't use isn't defensible.

**Switching monthly → annual:** instant. You're credited the unused portion of your current monthly ($20 × days-remaining / days-in-cycle) and charged the annual amount minus that credit. New annual anniversary starts today.

**Switching annual → monthly:** effective at your annual renewal date. You keep annual pricing until the current annual term ends, then flip to monthly at the standard rate. If you want to switch sooner, cancel + get the prorated annual refund + start a new monthly subscription — takes about 3 minutes.

**Why annual is discounted:** it reduces our churn-processing overhead and lets us plan inference-cost commitments to Anthropic with more certainty. That's the operational reason we can pass along ~17%. There's no lock-in trick; the refund policy is genuine.

**Annual for teams:** yes, per-seat pricing × 12 - 17%. When you add a new seat mid-annual, that seat is charged monthly-at-annual-rate ($200/12 = $16.67/mo) prorated until the workspace's annual renewal date, at which point all seats renew together at the annual rate.
