Create a workspace.

A workspace is LADLE's version of a team account: shared billing, shared knowledge, member management, and an impact statement tallied for the whole team. Personal chats stay personal even inside a workspace — the sharing model is opt-in per resource.

To create a workspace: click your name in the sidebar → **Create workspace** → give it a name (2–60 characters). You'll land on the welcome checklist with four steps.

**Step 1 — Buy seats.** Open Billing. Pick a seat count (minimum 2, maximum 500 self-serve) and monthly or annual. Same $20/seat/month as the personal Ladle plan — no team markup. Annual bills for 10 months (2 months free) and funds 10 months of meals to match. Once you hit Buy, Stripe checkout opens; a successful payment activates the workspace immediately.

**Step 2 — Set workspace instructions.** Open Workspace → Workspace instructions. This is a text block prepended to the AI's system prompt for every workspace chat. Think of it as house rules: voice guide, glossary, must-cite sources, tone. Members' own custom instructions still apply on top. Max 8,000 characters.

**Step 3 — Invite your team.** Open Members. Two paths: email addresses (one per line) sends a personal invite each, OR click "Get link" for a shareable link with a use-count cap and an expiry — useful for Slack / DM distribution or when you want to skip individual email invites.

**Step 4 — Add workspace knowledge (optional).** Open Knowledge. Add named notes with reference content — brand voice, product-line facts, common terminology. Each note is injected into every workspace chat's system prompt so the assistant answers with your context loaded, without members having to paste it in themselves.

Domain auto-join: on Workspace, set an **Auto-join domain** (e.g., `acme.com`). Anyone who signs up with that email domain becomes a member automatically on email confirmation — no invite needed. Only one workspace can claim a given domain at a time.

If a step later needs your attention, the welcome checklist stays available at `/org/<your-slug>/welcome` — it flips each step to ✓ automatically as you complete it.
